Miami’s celebration of technology, science, and environmental innovation is going down at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden this month! On Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, you can expect hands-on activities, interactive workshops and appearances from inventors, engineers and scientists alike. Fairchild is the first botanical garden to house a makerspace in partnership with NASA, where students design ways to grow plants in space, and this is the first time the Garden hosts Maker Faire.

Miami celebrates Cinco de Mayo with a variety of events, from large-scale festivals to themed parties and restaurant specials. Expect live music, food vendors, and cultural showcases, often with a focus on tequila and Mexican cuisine. Some specific events include the Cinco de Mayo Brickell Fest and a Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Pier 5.
